Way of the Hunter 2 — Weapons
Everything officially confirmed about weapons and gear. Item-level stat tables are not published by the developer — we keep this page factual and version-aware.
Firearms
Official feature list: over 20 firearms ranging from rifles to shotguns in several calibers, unlocked over time, with brands like Bergara, Christensen Arms, CVA, Merkel, Strasser and more to come. Read Rifle Selection for choosing logic.
Ammunition
Different ammunition types offer different balances of penetration and cavity size, letting you adapt to the animal, the situation and the shot.
Suppressors
Added in v0.1.0: a suppressed shot greatly reduces animal alertness — distant animals become slightly alerted instead of sprinting off, keeping them in your sightline and enabling controlled, selective harvests. v0.2.0 fixed compatible-weapon listings in the Encyclopedia.
Optics & vision
- Scopes, night vision systems, thermal clip-ons and binoculars from Leupold, ZEISS, Integrix, Bushnell and Ddoptics (official)
- v0.1.0 added thermal optics: a handheld monocular and clip-ons for low-visibility scanning and target identification.
- Shooting stick (monopod): place it anywhere before aiming to reduce sway for long shots.
Archery & decoys
- Bows and crossbows available as “a special challenge” (official).
- v0.2.0 added: Terra Fractal TR compound bow, Primacy Impact Mechanical Blade Long Vanes 30“ arrow, and the WildHeart Yellow-Billed Duck decoy.
